· This machine uses laser toners which have many different chemicals which are subjected to different processes like high and low voltages and high temperatures to get the results. This causes emission of certain gases like ozone, nitrogen oxide and carbon monoxide that can affect human health.
· UV radiations emitted by the laser device can adversely affect the user's eyesight without even knowing.
There are ways to reduce the ill effects which will definitely improve the advantage list.

· Place your printer in a separate room and connect your printer through a local area network this will reduce close proximity to the printer.
· The printer room should be well ventilated and should remain unoccupied when large print jobs are undertaken.
Although the advantages that a laser printer has are way too many but one has to weigh the pros and cons and the long term advantages and disadvantages that it has. Only then you should decide what is beneficial for you.
